What is Wikimedia Australia?
Wikimedia Australia, a non-profit incorporated association, is the local membership-driven Wikimedia chapter. You can join us! Our aim is to promote equality of opportunity to access and participate in the collaborative creation of Free Cultural Works, especially educational works, and works about Australia, its culture, natural environment, and Australian news and media. See our Statement of Purpose & Rules. We support the charitable activities of the Wikimedia Foundation, however we do not have control over their projects, including Wikipedia.

Membership Conditions/Responsibilities

In the interest of being a transparent and open organisation, a list of first and last names of members will be made public. By becoming a member, you agree to have this information made public.
Your email address will be used as the method to contact you unless you specifically notify the secretary (secretary@wikimedia.org.au). (You can do this after completing the signup process.)
In the event of your admission as a member, you agree to be bound by the rules of the association for the time being in force.

Membership application process

Your membership application will be sent to yourself and the committee to review.

You will receive an email from a committee member indicating your application has been approved, and membership is pending the dues being paid.

If the payment has been received by the treasurer within 28 days of the application being approved, you will be sent a receipt to inform you that you are a current member. You will be added to the members mailing list and may request an account in order to edit the public wiki.

	Normal - $ 20.00 Full price membership
	Concession - $ 10.00 Concession membership
